Area V, AGEHR, Inc. has nine 3-octave sets of handchimes that may be loaned to schools to assist in developing an educational program with handchimes. There have been two 2-octave sets of handchimes added to be used with special needs populations in education with special needs children of any grade level in special classes or in main streaming classes. Another setting could be with adults in day-care, sheltered workshops, nursing homes or community groups. If your facility, organization or school is interested in applying for this grant, please contact your State Education Coordinator or Area V Education/Special Needs Chairman. If you are awarded the grant, you will receive a set of handchimes and educational materials. A mentor will also be available to assist you with your program. Grants will run for the entire school year. Deadline is June 15. If you are interested in being considered for this grant, please write to the Area V, AGEHR Education Coordinator of YOUR STATE. Please include your name, the school, and address and a phone number for both locations.
